At a special general meeting of members on Wednesday 24th March, Capital Blokart Club Inc. has decided to disband. This has been a hard decision for us and not easily made. Members have put in a lot of hard work over the last 17 years trying to grow the club and secure a permanent venue to sail on in the Wellington region. Our membership has dwindled and the decision has been made to join up with the Manawatu Blokart Club Inc. (MBC) and make use of their fantastic venue at Sanson. As per our constitution, our assets will pass over to a like minded society. In this case it will be Manawatu Blokart Club Inc. I encourage our members to join up with MBC.

This Sunday 30th August is looking good for our Waitarere Beach 100km Marathon.
This is 50km and 100km races run concurrently.

Our Waitarere 100km (and 50km) Marathons have been postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions. Backup day is 18 or 19 July. We will pick the day in the week before to ensure the best result.
